This Masterclass aims to draw attention to a series of factors that can compromise the comedic potential of a scene at different stages of the audiovisual production chain: from the actor's tone in the reading room, through characterization, costume, direction, and production.

MAURÍCIO RIZZO is a Screenwriter / Actor. He is the Head Writer of the series "Pablo e Luisão" featuring Paulo Vieira (Globo/Globoplay) and "Cosme e Damião - Quase Santos" featuring Rafael Portugal (Globoplay/Porta dos Fundos). He was also head writer of the satirical news program "Fora de Hora". He wrote and was a cast member for the comedy show "Tá no Ar: A TV na TV", nominated for the 2017 international Emmy for best comedy. In the last 18 years he has developed projects at Rede Globo focusing on Humor/Drama. He wrote sitcoms such as "A Diarista", "A Grande Família", "Cilada", "Junto e Misturado" and worked on the creation of the pilot for the comedy "Os Caras-de-Pau".

Nathália Cruz (34) is an brasilian actress and screenwriter. She graduated in Social Communication from the University of Brasília and studied theater at O ??Tablado (RJ). She was part of writers on the Porta dos Fundos channel, wrote TV series like Rensga Hits!; Anderson Spider Silva; Pablo and Luisão. At TV Globo, she wrote "Big Terapia" on BBB 23 and in the same year she was a weekly columnist for the program "Saia Justa". Currently, Nathalia is a screenwriter for a new TV show to be launched in October on TV Globo.
