Alessandra Orofino | Palestrante
Alessandra is the Executive Director of Peri, a media company focused on stories that matter. She is a specialist in mass communication and large-scale mobilization, with extensive experience in popular mobilization and developing impactful content for television and cinema. She co-founded NOSSAS, where she was Executive Director, created and directed the show Greg News, and is the main producer of a documentary directed by Petra Costa. Alessandra is on the boards of organizations with a strong focus on cultural strategies and narratives: the Luminate Foundation, the Meliore Foundation, and the ICCI. She is a Fellow of the Obama Foundation and received the Skoll Award for Social Innovation in 2022.
Iara Cardoso | Palestrante

Iara Cardoso directs, writes, and produces series and films focused on environmental issues. She has studied cinema at NYFA/Universal Studios, television journalism at NBC News, documentaries and science fiction narratives at MIT, and scientific journalism at Unicamp. Her projects have been showcased on Globo, History, Cinemark, Globosat, Amazon Prime Video, and Globoplay. She recently released the award-winning documentary "The Human Era" on Globoplay, which shows how our thoughts, intuitions, emotions, and senses can shape life on our planet. "The Human Era" is presented by the actor and environmentalist Marcos Palmeira and has received awards in the United States, England, and France.
