The audiovisual industry has a significant impact on the environment, from the operation of offices, through development, production and distribution of content. This panel aims to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to environmental sustainability in the audiovisual industry, as well as highlighting the practices and initiatives that are transforming the way we produce and consume content. How is the industry tackling environmental challenges and turning discourse into tangible action? What creative initiatives and solutions are being adopted, from reducing waste and emissions to promoting ethical working practices? How is the industry leading the way to a more sustainable future, from discourse to concrete action?

Estela Renner is a film director, screenwriter, producer, and co-founder of the social and environmental impact studio Maria Farinha Films (B Corp). With over 40 films produced, she created, wrote, and directed the fictional series Aruanas, seen by over 30 million people, and directed and wrote documentaries seen in over 190 countries, such as "Way Beyond Weight" and "The Beginning of Life". Currently, she is writing the international fictional series "Esperanza" with Marcos Nisti, in partnership with Participant, with a focus on climate justice. Her work has generated concrete impact on social behavior and public policies. Estela was a speaker at two editions of SXSW.

Luiz Toledo is responsible for Spcine’s investments and strategic partnerships and spearheads the international economic development for the São Paulo Film Commission. With a career spanning over 20 years, Luiz has extensive experience in international relations, public management, and partnerships which he uses to drive the promotion of São Paulo as a filming destination for international and local productions. He specifically oversees the SPFilm Commission, the Audiovisual Observatory, the Production Funding and International departments.? Prior to joining Spcine, Luiz held numerous roles including; International Advisor to the City of São Paulo.

President of Panvision, an NGOinvolved in international advocacy for the development and integration of the LATAM audiovisual sector. Part of the Ecovision group, committed to sustainable development. Since 2009 she has been curator and programming director at FAM – Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul. The festival and film market is now 28 years old. Analyst in international and national financing funds. She was director of the Brazilian Cinema Congress, National Festival Forum and is currently an Honorary Advisor. With 10 years of experience as a film educator, she is studying for a doctorate in Engineering and Knowledge Management, with a focus on sustainability in the audiovisual sector.

Mauricio Gonzalez is Globo's Director of Shared Services,a position he has held since 2019. Previously,he held the role of Finance and Infrastructure Director. He has been at Globo for 10 years and among the highlights, implemented new models of service provision,governance,supply management and the company's Environmental Management department.Before Globo,he was in charge of projects in the Supply and Logistics of companies such as Oi,Vesper,Ficap.Graduated in Business at UFRJ he has a Business MBA at Fund D.Cabral and Post MBA at Kellog School of Management.Currently,he also leads Commitment 4 from Globo´s ESG agenda,regarding Biodiversity & Environmental Awareness.
