To ensure a project looks good on screen, it needs to be solid on paper first, and many professionals are involved in the process from the creation by the author to the delivery to the filming teams. It's at these intersections that the development of the works takes place, in the exchange between screenwriters and the teams from production companies and players. The process undergoes prior curation in the selection of bets, and also post-selection, as this unfolding is dynamic and demands attentive and careful dedication from all parties involved. In this panel, we will explore the fundamental role of content direction and development production in Brazilian audiovisual, based on the strategic vision necessary for creating engaging and relevant narratives for the final audience, linking audience data, thematic cuts, repertoire as a determining factor, and active listening in the relationship with creators.
