PhD in Economics. He developed different management roles at Petrobras, associated with competitive intelligence and strategic planning, as well as macroeconomic and energy projections. He is currently Manager of Reforestation and Environmental Projects in Petrobras. He also works as a senior researcher at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI).
Jonas R Leite | Palestrante
Biologist, master in Zoology, and PhD in Environmental Oceanography. Current President of the Meros do Brazil Institute. He works as Executive Manager and Coordinator/Researcher at the Meros do Brasil Project. Was founder and researcher at the Aquaculture and Aquariology Research Institute. He was founder and managing partner of the company Neotropical Aquicultura Ornamental. He has experience in managing third sector institutions and managing socio-environmental projects. As a researcher, he has experience and publications in the areas of marine fish ecology and reproduction and marine aquaculture. Working with Coral reef ecology, reef ichthyology, reproductive biology of marine fish and aquaculture.
Natalie Freret-Meurer | Palestrante
Biologist specialized in marine ecology. Professor and researcher since 2006 with several papers published in international journals. Developed a 18 year conservation project on seahorses in the whole Rio de Janeiro state, working with research (monitoring, experiments, culture) and environmental education of kids and traditional communities. Works as project manager, researcher and consultant for companies and conducts biomonitoring for multinationals (Vale SA).
Gabriela Viana | Palestrante
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (UFF), with a Master's degree (ERJ) in Biology and an MBA in Project Management (FGV/RJ). Over 20 years of experience in the third sector, working as an independent consultant and in partnership with international organizations such as German cooperation. Focus on conservation, sustainability, and regional development projects in urban and rural areas. Since 2014, leading the Institute of Socio-Environmental Action, responsible for ecological restoration projects and environmental education in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.
