Ricardo Laganaro | Palestrante

Ricardo Laganaro is considered one of the most innovative VR directors in the world. His most recent piece, The Line, has received several awards globally, including “Best VR Experience” at the 76th Venice Film Festival and a Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming in 2020. He entered the immersive world in 2012, creating a full-dome projection for the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio, and directing 360º videos that have almost 70 million views. In 2016, Ricardo created the VR doc “Step to the Line”, produced by Oculus. The short premiered at the Tribeca Festival 2017 and was selected amongst over 30 festivals globally.

Inventor and teacher with extensive experience in design, innovation, communication and technology. Over the last 20 years leaading the largest creative storytelling and prototyping teams in Latin America. His projects are internationally awarded for promoting social transformation, one of which was selected by the Chicago Museum as one of the main advances in the field of wearables. Master in design from USP, TEDx speaker, member of the Innovation and Design board at ESPM, Design sector representative of the State of São Paulo, CCO Media Monks, ex-IBM, ex-WPP and father ;)
