Creator and director of the Netflix series "Candelária," he also created and directed the serie "Sob Traçantes" on Globo Play. He was the creative executive for the US series "Reimagine Rio" and executive producer of the documentary "Mulheres da Terra." He directed "Luto como Mãe," which won Best Film at the Santa Cruz da Serra Festival in Bolivia in 2010. He produced the Bolivian documentary "El Rey Negro," which won Best Direction at the Madrid Festival in 2018. A researcher of Afrofuturist narratives, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Coimbra, author of "Pretos Versus" and "A Vingança dos Sete Mares," founder of Cinema Nosso, and partner at Jabuti Filmes.
