StoryVillage Audiovisual Inovação Empreendedorismo e Liderança Storytelling Negócios

Nollywood, the second most prolific audiovisual market in the world, is a revolution that has been decades in the making. A fascinating mix of culture, economy and global influence, it has its roots in Nigerian society, but its branches extend far and wide, touching lives and shaping narratives across Africa and beyond. An economic powerhouse, it contributes around US$600 million to the Nigerian economy every year and produces around 2,500 films. With increasing investment and a growing international audience, the sector has experienced rapid growth. The updated term "New Nollywood" has emerged to describe this new phase in its development. In this panel, we will have the opportunity to meet two of the greatest exponents of this market and discover their artistic and marketing visions and their financing strategies based mainly on private resources.
