Screenwriters Bruno Bloch and Filippo Cordeiro, hosts of the First Treatment podcast, interview screenwriter Manuela Dias to find out all about her professional career, her TV and film projects and behind the scenes of her creative processes. Manuela is an author and screenwriter. Nominated for an International Emmy for the series "Justice", she has written several hits such as the soap opera "Amor de Mãe", the series "Ligações Perigosas", the feature films "Deserto Feliz", "Transeunte", "A Hora da Vez de Augusto Matraga" and much more.

Wrote and produced the film "Low Budget", "best comedy screenplay" Prêmio ABRA nominee. Was also the writer of the film "Tamo Junto", selected at the Festival de Cinema de Gramado. For television, Bruno writes for the show "Bugados" (Gloob) and was a writer and cocreator of the show "Vendemos Cadeiras" (Multishow). He's also co-creator and host of the podcast "Primeiro Tratamento", the biggest podcast about screenwriting in Brazil.

Manuela Dias | Palestrante
Manuela, from Bahia, is a meditator, vegetarian and environmental activist. After studying journalism and cinema in Cuba under Gabriel García Márquez and Orlando Senna, she debuted as both an author and a screenwriter in 1997, contributing to "Sandy and Junior". With ten films and four plays, including "Matraga" and "The Sky Over the Shoulders". On TV Globo, she took part in 27 programs and received International Emmy nominations for "Justiça" and "Amor de Mãe". An award-winning author, she made her literary debut in 2022 with "Tilikum", followed by "Diário da Dona Lurdes" and "Berenice e Soriano". In 2024 she released "Justice 2" and "Dona Lurdes" for the cinema, and her publishing house, Voante.
