Originals: Content Planning and the Relationship with Creators and Producers

Writers Room Audiovisual Mídia e Entretenimento Storytelling Negócios Consumo

Conventional programming grids that once featured 24-hour continuous broadcasting have ceased to be the standard for many players with the advancement of streaming platforms, but curation and content planning remain the main focus for those in charge of the audiovisual industry. And, even though there are few players, there are plenty of new releases hitting the airwaves every month, with various types of different perspectives. But what lies behind these choices? What defines the editorial line of a streaming platform nowadays, in a time of such risk aversion? And how does this process unfold in relation to creators and producers? With the aim of dissecting the thoughts of leaders who have had stints at some of the biggest players in the Brazilian market, this panel will seek to bring both the executive and creative vision behind the gears that drive the industry, as well as dive into the discussion about what leads an original work to be chosen for production.
