A woman native to the Brazilian land. Since the age of 13, she has responded to the call of Mother Earth to be a representative of indigenous rights and to fight for the preservation of the environment and ancestral spirituality. She is the coordinator of the Shirley Djukurnã Krenak Institute, a non-governmental social organization. ISDK promote educational activities based on indigenous ancestry and the intimate connection that indigenous peoples have with Mother Earth. The Institute has actions aimed at good living, promoting projects such as technical and legal assistance to indigenous associations, agroecological practices and recovery, reforestation in areas degraded by non-indigenous people.
