Ana Paula Araújo was born in Rio de Janeiro. She has a degree in Communication from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and, at the age of eighteen, she made her debut in journalism as an intern at Rádio Globo. After moving to television and working on Bom Dia Rio and RJTV, she currently presents Bom Dia Brasil and is part of the rotation of presenters at Jornal Nacional. In 2011, Ana Paula was part of the Globo Journalism team that won the International Emmy award for its coverage of the occupation of Complexo do Alemão the previous year, when it remained on air for eight uninterrupted hours. In 2020, she released the book "Abuso: a cultura do rape no Brasil" by Globo Livros.
