GLOBONEWS is a 24 hour news channel that belongs to the GLOBO GROUP, which also owns the major Brazilian Network, GLOBO. GloboNews was founded in 1996 and is dedicated to hard news and programs. It has a weekly one hour documentary slot. The documentaries aired by the channel are either produced internally, coproduced with Brazilian independent TV producers or acquired from foreign producers. Our channel is the leader in in terms of audience among Brazilian news channels. Our original documentaries have been nominated for the International Emmy Awards four times.
