Felipe Novaes

Felipe Novaes is a director, producer and writer. Felipe has a degree in Journalism at Cásper Líbero, in São Paulo, a specialization in Audiovisual Production at New York Film Academy and a post-graduate in Documentary Film at FGV-Rio, under the orientation of Eduardo Escorel, and having studied “Documentaries with Archival Images” at IMS-Rio and “Ancine and Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual para Cinema e TV” with Vera Zaverucha.

He has been working with audiovisual for over a decade, with credits in music videos, films and tv series. As Director and Executive Producer, he has released “Outcast Rockstar”, a co-production between MTV and Bravura, distributed by Fernando Meirelles’ O2Play. In addition to being awarded “Best National Documentary” at the 43rd São Paulo International Film Festival and selected for Mostra Première Brasil at the 2019 Rio Film Festival, “Outcast Rockstar” was the most-watched film in Brazil on the week of its release.

Currently, he is working on his next film “The Cover Story“, a co-production with Vitrine Filmes, the series “ELKE”, based on Chico Felitti’s biography on Brazilian artist Elke Maravilha, and many other projects. Felipe is an Executive Producer of Entertainment at Brigitte Filmes.
