My name is Michelly Mury, I am a Black woman, born and raised in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Despite being a graduate in advertising, music has always been a guiding thread in my professional journey and, in a way, a compass in my life towards my own identity.
For over twenty years, I have been involved in cultural projects, with a diverse and inclusive perspective, both within and outside Brazil. In my areas of expertise, I stand out in curation, artistic direction, and creative project direction.
I worked in the Artistic Programming team at the Centro Cultural Fundição Progresso in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, from 2003 to 2011. I was the Artistic Coordinator at Casa Natura Musical, a cultural venue in São Paulo, from 2016 to 2022.
Today, I am a Label Manager at Altafonte Brasil, overseeing the digital releases of renowned artists whom I greatly admire. I am also part of the educators' team for the ""Sementes – Caminhos para uma produção mais diversa"" project, which offers free and accessible training in cultural production and management for non-white artists and producers. I am a member of the WME ambassadors team and work as a curator for projects at the agencies Atenas, Lemme, and Pipoca.
